THERAPY STYLE

Couples Therapy

I help couples who feel disconnected, like they’re having the same conversations over and over again, and are no longer on the same team. Common themes I see in couples I work with include communication breakdown, unresolved conflict, erosion of trust, intimacy concerns, and mental load imbalance. As a couples therapist, I offer a space where both partners can feel heard, respected, and supported. My style is direct, but gentle, and I’m not afraid to bring in a little humor when I can. Using evidence-based approaches, I offer practical tools for effective communication, conflict resolution, and connection. I want you to feel confident not only in your ability to express your own feelings and needs, but in your ability to validate and support your partner’s. The goal is not to “fight less,” but to feel more connected and secure in your relationship.

Individual Therapy

I help people who have a harsh inner critic, tend to prioritize others over themselves, and often don’t express their needs (either to avoid conflict or because they don’t know how). Common themes I see in my clients are people struggling to find balance, handling emotions, setting boundaries, and allowing themselves to practice self-care. As an individual therapist, I offer a supportive space for clients to grow their comfort zones in real time. To me, the most important aspect of therapy is the therapeutic relationship itself. I’m here to guide you through exploring your patterns, practicing skills safely, and experiencing what it feels like to be seen and heard. My style is direct, but gentle, and I love to find ways to bring laughter into session. Using a collaborative approach, I help my clients increase their emotional awareness, learn assertiveness, and become more confident in navigating relationships, both with others and themselves. Healing doesn’t just happen in isolation, it happens in relationships – and therapy can be one of them!
